Hello Everyone!

First things first, I'd like to introduce myself to you all before I get into what this blog is going to offer. My name is Michelle Monette. I am 19 (almost 20) years old and I live in good old Québec Canada (not too far from Ottawa). I have been playing acoustic and electric guitar for 4 years and classical guitar for 1, and play in a variety of styles including classic rock, blues, folk, jazz and classical. It wasn't too long after I started seriously learning the guitar when I was about 15 that I realized I wanted to spend my life making music and sharing it with others. I love everything about it, especially the guitar. There's something very special about the guitar. I haven't quite put my finger on exactly what it is yet, but when I do I'll let you all know :P

I'm really excited about starting this blog! I figured that this would be a great way to share my love of music (especially where the guitar is concerned) with as many people as possible and to share all that I have learned. The main purpose of this blog is to provide guitar players from all skill levels with tips, tricks, exercises, lessons, stories and anything else that I believe will help them on their way to guitar mastery. A lot of these things I've learned from others and some I have been able to figure out on my own. I'll also be starting a 2-year online guitar course with Berklee Music in the fall, and am looking forward to sharing some of what I learn from that experience with all of you. I'm hoping that you will all be able to get something out of what I have to share and I am so glad that you are interested in joining me on this wonderful journey called learning how to play the guitar!

I look forward to my first real post! Until then, take care!

Michelle
